Train to the Clouds

It is one of the three highest trains in the world. It travels through the vertiginous mountains of the Andes Mountain Range and moves along astonishing landscapes.
It leaves from the city of  Salta, moves along the Valle de Lerma (Lerma valley), gets into Quebrada del Toro (Toro gorge) and reaches the Puna.
The final point of the trip is the kilometre 1350 where you will find La Polvorilla viaduct which is 224 metres long and  63 metres high. It is the highest cowboy line, at 4200 m.a.s.l. and one of the most important ones in the world due to its characteristics.
The whole trip takes almost 15 hours, crossing 29 bridges, 21 tunnels, 13 viaducts, 2 "curls" and 2 zig-zags. Due to the height at which the train moves, it is quite common to see clouds under the bridges or at the mountainsides, hence the choice of its name.
The train offers several services such as: restaurant car, panoramic car, folk spectacles, consulting room, audio, video
and bilingual guides
.

Train of the Coast

Always accompanied by the splendour of the river and its coasts, the passenger that makes use of the Train of the Coast can get on and off the train as many times as he wants and organise his own trip.
It is the most modern train in Argentina. During the trip you can appreciate different residential streets of the northern part of  Buenos Aires with beautiful and, many times, luxurious houses built over exceptional lanscapes.
Within the different stations, many of them with an English style, you can find picturesque cafés, varied gastronomy, shoppings and promenades.
Tre trip finishes at the Delta station, with the possibility of visiting the casino and going around the Park of the Coast, with shows, mechanical attractions,  3D cinemas, games, and trips on boats going along the Delta islands.

Historic Train (suspended)

This train, whose history relates to the year 1887, leaves from Chacarita and travels several  kilómetres along the Pampa plains, in the city of Buenos Aires.
Originally, this train was horse-pulled, and is currently National Historic Railway Patrimony.
It travels about 69 kilómetres, fascinating its passengers with the steam going out of the antique 1908 Baldwin locomotive, seen from the window while moving cross-country.
You can choose to travel either in modern cars or in the traditional ones made of wood which clearly recall that age.
As a part of the excursion you can choose either to  have asado (barbecue) in a rural restaurant; or to spend an unforgettable country day in an "estancia" with folk shows, a demonstration of the gaucho and his horses habilities and several other activities.
A curious point to note is that this train was used in the shooting of "Evita" with Madonna in the leading role and "Seven years in Tibet" with Brad Pitt.

Train of the Sierras

Leaving from Alto Verde, located at 12 kilometres of the city of Córdoba, this train gets into the beautiful sierra landscapes of The Punilla Valley.
This train moves through picturesque villages sorrounded by impressive beauties going among bends, tunnels and bridges immersed in the sierra.
This train reaches the dam and dyke San Roque, where it stops to allow the tourist to appreciate the landscape and get exquisite regional sweets marmalades; then it moves through a bridge of 26 metres of height and  150 metres of length that crosses the Cosquín stream, offering an imposing panoramic view. After that, the train climbs up to a maximun height of 1111 metres above sea level in La Cumbre station; it reaches the localities of Cruz Grande and Los Cocos, with its wonderful residences; to finish in the locality of Capilla del Monte, where you can enjoy a delightful lunch and a short visit of the roundabouts.

Old Patagonic Express

This picturesque cowboy, propelled by a steam locomotive, drags  cars heated by firewood stoves, and moves along imposing landscapes in a sinuous trip among the mountains.
The train leaves from the Esquel station, and takes you through valleys and patagonic plateaux. The trip may take either 2 hours and a half (Nahuel Pan station), or six hours (El Maitén station).
All along the trip you can see the lack of trees, just a few of them can be seen on the bank of the water courses, stations and resting places. However, it is important to stand out the great quantity of ship that fill the landscape; between Leleque and Nahuel Pan it is very likely to see herds of guanacos and America ostriches near the railroads.
The final part of the trip is made at more than 700 metres of height, moving along the rocky mountainsides of the valley of the Esquel stream.

Train of the End of the World

This train leaves daily from the Station of the End of the World located at 8 km to the west of the city of  Ushuaia, getting into the Tierra del Fuego National Park, within a priviledged landscape.
The trip takes about 14 hs (at a whole) going through the typical landscapes of Tierra del Fuego: woods, rivers, mountains and valleys,  in heating cars with all the comfort you need.
Depending on the season of the year when you make this excursion you will enjoy very different landscapes: green in summer; yellow, ocher and red from the Lengas and Argentine lumbers in autumm; white from snow in winter.
Before the excursion, and by means of a guided visit, tourists are shown a series of photographs to recall the beginnings of this train.
Passengers can choose to travel either in tourist class or in the First Class service, where appart from travelling in cars with individual seats and tables, they are offered a cafeteria sevice that will let them try the exquisite homemade cakes accompanied with hot chocolate or cofee among other options.
